I NEED A HIATUS FROM LIFE

THE CURTAINS!

So…I had initially installed those curtain rods by myself and everything was "JUST FINE."  Until I took down the curtain rods in order to wash my curtains and then when I went to put them back up everything just fell apart!  The hooks came out of the wall (manufactured homes really suck) and I tried to fix it with mollies and whatevers and then I "thought" I succeeded but…no.  It all fell down. Again.

I am literally crying.

See.  My husband knows how to do EVERYTHING.  He was a master electrician.  He built bookshelves for my bookstore.  He used to mow the fields and weed whack.

He cannot do those things anymore.  He is 76 years old with severe COPD and a really bad knee which needs a replacement but he is not well enough to go through that surgery and the rehab.  So.  That left ME with my feeble fingers and my lost ability to do practically "anything." And…I truly used to be able to figure out how to do everything!

At least I tried.

I tried twice.  Day One I just got so fed up that I gave up.  (Sometimes you need to just walk away and take a breath.) Day Two I encouraged myself to try again.  Nope.  Did not work.

I went on Nextdoor Neighbor and offered 25 bucks for someone to hang my curtains.  Someone wanted 60!  He told me I should get a neighbor to do it!  Then…I got someone really nice who is coming tomorrow for the 25.  We'll see.

But that's not all.  I'm going to need hand surgery, 3 month recovery and WHO is going to mow the fields and fill the gas and pull the weeds and do everything else I do not know.

And then there's this which is the worst.

I need a vacation.  Not going to happen.  Bill can't travel, we can't afford to travel and what about the dogs?

So…I am clueless.  Trying to figure everything out is really hard.  I am waiting on the Lord.
